This talk from Charles Hill will share his findings from the time he spent mapping, photographing and surveying the Nantgarw China Works site in the early 1990s. At the time Charles was Principal Archaelogical Officer at the Glamorgan Gwent Archaelogical Trust (GGAT) and head of the team investigating the site on behalf of the former Taff Ely Borough Council. During this talk he will share many unpublished photos showing the state of site at that time and the numerous walls and structures which have subsequently disappeared . Charles will also speculate on the relative age of some of the buildings on site. Subject to the weather and ground conditions on the day we hope to also include a tour of the site.

The talk will be free to Friends of Nantgarw China Works and £5 to non members. Due to limited space prior booking is essential.
