Geoff Swindell is one of the leading studio potters working today. Born in Stoke-on-Trent, he left school at 15 and soon ended up following his ancestors and working as a potter. By 1970 he’d achieved an MA at the Royal College of Art. Geoff worked at York School of Art until 1975, when he became a lecturer at Cardiff College of Art (now Cardiff Metropolitan University). In 2003 he left to concentrate ‘full-time’ on his work in porcelain. His work is found in many of the world leading museums and art galleries including the V&A, Metropolitan Museum of Art & National Museum Wales.
